Members of the Sector 18 market association have asked chief minister Yogi Adityanath to resolve the ongoing dispute over the increased parking rate and roll back the hike. In a letter, the association has said that the parking contract for Sector 18 has been given to the management of a neighbouring mall. It stated that the parking rates are ₹20 per hour on the roads and ₹30 for two hours and ₹10 per extra hour at the multilevel parking lot. We are requesting the chief minister to revise the parking charges and apply the old rates. The malls are charging less than the Noida authority. When DLF, which owns Mall of India, is charging ₹40 for the whole day, why would people park in the market area?” SK Jain, president, Sector 18 market association, said.
