Land records of 192 Delhi villages digitised, minister informs Assembly

With an aim to bring transparency in land-related issues, the Delhi government has digitised the land records of 192 villages across the city.The information was provided by the revenue minister Kailash Gahlot in a  reply to a question by AAP MLA Haji Ishraq in the Delhi Assembly on Friday.There are 224 villages in the city and land records will be digitised.Officials said digitisation will also help in better monitoring against the land sharks.According to the revenue department, the process for the computerisation of land records in the remaining villages is underway and will be completed soon.
