The Noida authority has decided to build five foot overbridges (FOBS) along the 25kmlong Noida-greater Noida Expressway to connect the five Metro stations located on the Aqua line with sectors located on the western side of the expressway. The 30km-long Aqua line (Noida-greater Noida Metro link) runs parallel to the expressway for almost 10km— from Noida’s Sector 142 till Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. The link, on which trials are underway, is expected to become operational by the end of 2018. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) recently completed all civil work on the Aqua line. Without the FOBS, residents living on the western side of the expressway will face problems in crossing the road to reach the Metro stations on the eastern side.
